In class we have been studying about the Titanic - did you know it is 100years since the disaster, we created passenger guides for the boat and had an expert speaker share a presentation about the Titanic with us. It has been very interesting.

Vlastina's got Talent

We have a thing in school, called Vlastina Got Talent and if you have something that you can do and you or your group want to show to the school you need just to fill in a sheet with your names written on it, then you perform it to your class and if you are chosen out of the 4 performing you might be in the semi-finals. But if you are really, really lucky you might go into the finals and even WIN!!! Even some of our teachers have talents (I know that is hard to believe but it is true) here is the proof. By Vova

Year 5 at the Movies!

For the last few weeks in English we have learned film narrative.

We saw some films and some of them had sacrifice as a theme, we studied things like the sound and camera and colours that are used. We learnt about things like sequencing, flashbacks and symbolism and we are even going to try to make our own films and animated books.

Here are the films we watched:

Invention of Love

The Danish Poet

Sebastian's Voodoo

Western Spaghetti

The Windmill Farmer
