Hello to the new Year 5's - hope you are all looking forward to next year as much as me and Mr. Boardman are!
In order to get to know each other a little better we are going to play a 'would I lie to you game' think of 3 facts about yourself where only one of them is true! Then write your 3 facts here and we will see if we can guess each others facts!
I will start
- I once played guitar in a band
- I once played football for Scunthorpe United
- I once met the Queen of England
Good luck

Year 5 and the missing Golden Time!!!
As you know the children in Year 5 are extremely naughty! Here is a table showing all the golden time they have lost due to their terrible behaviour! Use the table to calculate your mean, mode median and range amount of golden time lost, then produce a chart using the information in the table.

Oh My Dusty Oh My Dusty!
We are studing about 'making our own songs.'
And we made our song, 'Oh my Dusty'.

Olympic moments!
As part of our Olympic topic we have been doing work on our favourite Olympians - one of my most memorable olympic moments is Derek Redmond in 1992. Study the video and then answer the following questions:
1) Which Olympic games was Derek competing in?
2) Which event was Derek competing in?
3) What happened to Derek during the race?
4) Why did the officials try to get Derek off the track?
5) Why did Derek carry on 'running'?
6) Why do you think Derek was crying?
7) Derek's dad said 'You don't have to do this' Derek replied 'I do'
a) - Did Derek HAVE to finish the race?
b) - Why did Derek say he had to finish?

What a busy week!
we were celebrating the queens jubilee, we were making sculptre out of papier mache and then we coloured them and make them like a Olympic perosn who is doing any sport that was or is in the Olympics.
And now we are going to watch our COBIS Vlastina team swiming!!! Also we had a Vlastina marathon and everybody had a chance to carry the Vlastina Olympic torch!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Every class preformed a preformace about the Olympics!
