Here you have 12 openings from Michael Morpurgo books, you have 2 tasks to do:
 
1) Read the openings and arrange them into 3 categories; action, speech or description

    I like COOL but it isnt the start I am reading it it at home. The book was hooking me in.

    I like Friend or foe because the begining happens in all of a sudden and with capital letter which is kind of action and it

    was also pitch black like if he was in a mansion of darkness.

    I really like Kensukes Kingdom because it starts quit well and when I read the book I really hooked myself with the beggining.

    I think the best opening is 'Kasper The Titanic Cat' because it hookes you and it is talking about a boring hard everyday life and the title mentions the titanic, so I think at one point it will be very exciting.

    The book called The last wolf has a bit of speech when this little girl named Miya said that her grandpa is an ostrich and the grandpa replys.

    My favourite book is probably Kensukes Kingdom because it starts with an amazing action saying that he dissapeared before the night of his 12th birthday.
