The
highwayman was dashing, dashing, dashing
In
the moonlight
At last the highwayman came to the old inn
–yard
The
Landlord’s daughter was waiting for the highwayman
They
discussed where they will go
Tim
the oestler listened
He
told the king Georges men were they will find the highwayman
Right
away they went to capture the highwayman
They marched into the old inn
–yard
They
smashed the door behind them
They
tied Bess up to her bed
She
saw the dark path that the Highwayman would ride
The
red coats laughed out loud
The
king Georges men were at every dead window
They
put a pistol before her
Then
the highwayman came riding, riding, and riding
They
heard him
He
saw Bess tied up, he also saw the red coats
He
started shooting the red coats he shot all of them
Then
he got Bess and rode away with her

I like the poem because it is really very different to the original because the highwayman and Bess run away.
ReplyDeleteI like the poem because the words we didn't understand in the poem you have made so easy to understand.
The thing you should make better is some of the lines don't really fit together.
I like the way you call King Georges Men/soilders 'red coats' and the other ending.
